Tenryu-ji (天龍寺) is on the edge of a pond in a Zen garden that extends up a hillside. It is a peaceful place to relax and watch the koi (Japanese carp) below the reflection of colorful trees that change with the seasons. It is one of the most beautiful gardens among the among 17 UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Sites in Kyoto.
